What to Expect at an Elevated Shades In-Home Consultation

Booking an in-home consultation can feel like inviting a sales pitch into your living room. Ours is meant to feel like the opposite — closer to a contractor walk-through than a showroom visit. Here's exactly what happens.

Before we arrive

We'll confirm your appointment by text the day before and share a photo and short bio of who's coming. Most consultations are run by Des, the owner. There's no rotating sales team.

The visit itself (about 60 minutes)

We start with a quick walk-through of the spaces you're considering — patio, living areas, bedrooms, wherever the conversation leads. We measure each opening, take photos for our records, and talk through how you actually use the space (afternoon sun problem? privacy concern? smart-home integration?).

Once we've seen the spaces, we bring out fabric and product samples relevant to what we discussed — not the full catalog. You'll see actual textures and colors against your trim and flooring.

Your quote

You'll receive a detailed written quote within 48 hours — line-itemed by opening, with fabric and motor options clearly priced. No bundled pricing, no upsells, no time pressure to sign on the spot. Most clients take a week or two to decide.

After you book

Production lead time is typically 4–6 weeks. Installation is scheduled around your calendar and most projects are completed in a single day. We follow up at 30 days, 6 months, and one year to make sure everything's still operating perfectly.
